There’s no such thing as “scientific materialism.” All materialism is philosophical only.
We’re simply using that term to distinguish between the materialism that says that material goods are more important than spiritual things and the more “scientific” materialism that says that nothing exists besides matter.
Then you should call it metaphysical materialism. There is no scientific method that could give plausibility let alone proof to materialism without question-begging.
