We begin episode #144 of Drunk Ex-Pastors by settling a long-brewing tech-related controversy (you’re welcome), after which we demonstrate just how secure we are by recommending our audience check out another podcast besides this one. We talk a bit about our concert experience the night before, which account takes a rather overt Shakespearian turn. We take callers’ questions about lying to our significant other, about height discrepancies in relationships, and about helping those who suffer. After our break we discuss Vice President Pence’s personal policy regarding sexual predators (read: women), and disagree somewhat on how we feel about it. Christian shares his Feeding Friendsy, which has to do with religious bubble-dwellers. Jason’s bieber focuses on ageism, while Christian is biebered by the five-oh.
Also, it’s weird how people who live in non-white countries are surrounded by minorities all the time, but seem totally fine with it.

… [Bass line for National Anthem began]… The next three hours are among my most enjoyable memories. It was the Amnesiac tour at the Woodlands in Houston, they played 3 encores. They closed with the bends!!! They played fake plastic trees on the first or second encore I think, sorry Christian that’s certainly not to gloat brother, I’m happy y’all got to go see them. Grace and peace out.

I told Jason during the concert that I would love to hear them play “The Bends.” One of my favorite songs.

• Romeo and Juliet isn’t meant to be a love story, but a story about two stupid kids being stupid, because kids are stupid and don’t know shit.
• I’ve died so many times in my dreams. Sometimes I wonder if, when I die, I’m going to wake up and realize that this entire life was a dream. Maybe it’s all dreams within dreams all the way up until the end of the universe.
• Why can’t we just treat everyone equally, male or female? Women are people, not sex objects.
• Then why does it have to be his wife? Why not bring an aide or a staffer with him?
• And if you’re going to live in a fucked up world where everyone is judging you and looking to convict you for no reason, then how much more does that attest to your own character deficiencies that you want to live in that world?
• I think once Pence sold his soul to the devil in exchange for power, it was probably easier to get along with Trump.
• “19 They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.”
• You forgot the option of: you really secretly believe, but you’re angry at God over something.
